Accordingly, at the meeting with business voters and labor force in Can Tho city before the 5th session of the 14th National Assembly on the morning of May 5, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Delegation of the National Assembly of Can Tho city; Voters recognized and highly appreciated the Party and State's many timely and effective directions and solutions, helping the country's economy maintain stability and growth in the context of world economic instability.
The Government and Prime Minister have issued important decisions to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses, people and employees, demonstrating dynamism, dare to think and dare to do.
Voters who are workers have raised proposals and recommendations related to workers' wages, investment in building cultural institutions for workers; housing policy, inns for workers, construction of daycares in industrial zones;
Measures to prevent and handle "black credit", fraud and appropriation of assets via telecommunications networks; protect the interests of employees when amending the Law on Social Insurance (one-time social insurance, premium payment and retirement age), handling the situation of enterprises owing social insurance.
Voters are business leaders interested in supporting businesses, especially small and medium enterprises in accessing, expanding and finding output markets; support human resource training.
Voters also proposed to soon invest in completing the Dinh An - Song Hau channel, the Ho Chi Minh City high-speed railway. Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho to help businesses remove difficulties in connection, reduce product costs, improve competitiveness and supply goods to the market.
Problems to be solved, challenges to overcome
Addressing, answering and absorbing voters' opinions, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the 5th session of the XNUMXth National Assembly had a heavy workload, important content, and was carefully prepared, including contacting and listening to voters' opinions.
At this meeting, voters were very interested in the socio-economic situation, issues of security, safety, people's safety, employment and livelihood, improvement of material and spiritual life, insurance-salary, regimes and policies for workers, labor...
The Prime Minister said that right after the 4th session of the National Assembly, relevant agencies have focused on solving issues of concern and recommendations of voters; at the same time, implement policies, tasks and solutions that are decided and approved at the meeting, such as promoting the planning and implementation of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended).
In the coming time, the Prime Minister emphasized the requirement that "obstacles must be removed, challenges must be overcome" and steadfastly aim at stabilizing the macro-economy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, ensuring major balances of the economy, stabilizing and improving people's lives, maintaining political stability, ensuring social order and safety, consolidating national defense and security, and promoting international and international integration.
The Prime Minister mentioned specific groups of tasks and solutions that are being implemented and will continue to be promoted in the coming time. In which, the Prime Minister emphasized to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles related to institutions, mechanisms and policies; at the same time continue to overcome the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, recover quickly and develop sustainably; boosting production and business, expanding markets, diversifying markets, products and supply chains, especially niche markets, the Middle East market, countries using Halal food, creating jobs and livelihoods for people.
Along with that, focusing on promoting 3 growth engines (investment, export and consumption), removing difficulties for businesses through measures to extend, exempt and reduce taxes, fees, charges, land rent and debt extension, debt freezing, and interest rate reduction; promote decentralization and decentralization, reform administrative procedures, digital transformation, reduce costs for people and businesses.
Regarding the task of promoting three strategic breakthroughs (improving institutions, training human resources, building strategic infrastructure), the Prime Minister said that during this term, about VND 3 billion has been allocated for transport infrastructure and the Mekong Delta (Red River Delta) is given priority to allocate investment capital for expressways. Agencies have also reported to the authorities and are preparing for the construction of high-speed railways and the Mekong Delta will also be prioritized.
The Prime Minister asked all levels and branches to continue to synthesize, explain, absorb and deal with the voters' proposals and recommendations, the contents falling under the authority of each level and branch, which must be dealt with and thoroughly resolved.
For recommendations and proposals beyond their authority, the Can Tho City People's Committee synthesizes and recommends the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries and branches to settle according to regulations. For issues under the National Assembly's authority, the Can Tho City National Assembly Delegation shall summarize and report to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
