Outperforming SJC gold bars.

As of 8:00 AM on September 28th, the price of gold rings continued to increase by 300,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday's closing price, setting a new record high of 81.5-83 million VND/ounce (buy-sell). Gold bars weighing 0.3-0.5 taels were sold at 83.1 million VND/ounce.

The price of 9999 gold rings has also skyrocketed. The price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong gold rings at DOJI is listed at 82.75 – 83.45 million VND/ounce (buying price – selling price).

At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the selling price of gold rings increased to 82.54 - 83.44 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).

In the free market this afternoon, the price of gold rings fluctuated wildly. Some places were selling them at 83.5 million VND/ounce, while others jumped to 84 million VND/ounce.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 5:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,653.42 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is down 0.7% compared to yesterday's price. Converted using the current exchange rate at Vietcombank , the world gold price is approximately VND 77.755 million/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is still VND 3.745 million/ounce higher than the international gold price.

After conversion, taxes, fees, and transportation costs to Vietnam, the price is approximately over 80 million VND per tael. Adding production and operating costs, the selling price of gold rings is still within a reasonable range. It would only be unusual if the price of gold rings increased or decreased in the opposite direction to the world gold price.

The recent sharp increase in the price of gold rings is due to the excessively high increase in world gold prices. The reason the price of gold rings is approaching that of gold bars is because the price of SJC gold bars is regulated by the State Bank of Vietnam, meaning it cannot fluctuate freely according to market forces. Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars experiences a longer time lag compared to the price of gold rings.
