You can now share your webcam with multiple apps on Windows 11
Microsoft says the feature was developed to help users stream video to both a sign language interpreter and an audience at the same time, but users will undoubtedly discover many other creative uses.
Additionally, the update also brings a feature called 'basic camera', which fixes issues with webcams. Microsoft also plans to add resolution and frame rate options for the camera in an upcoming build.
Previously, to use the webcam in multiple applications at the same time, Windows 11 users had to rely on third-party virtual camera applications. This built-in feature will help simplify the user experience.
While it's unclear why Microsoft didn't add this feature sooner, it's considered a worthy update for Windows 11.
