The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has been using illegal substances such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy and magic mushrooms at parties for years, the WSJ reported. Unnamed sources said they had to sign non-disclosure agreements or leave their phones outside before attending parties with the billionaire.

There is even information that the richest man on the planet has used ketamine, an anesthetic that can lead to hallucinations, sedation and addiction if used for a long time.

On social network X (formerly Twitter), Musk also described ketamine as a “better option” than other depression medications.

Although he is the richest man on the planet, Elon Musk admits that he is always sleep deprived, has bipolar disorder and depression.

People close to Mr. Musk told the WSJ that they were concerned that his drug use could harm his health and many of his businesses.

The SpaceX founder has previously come under fire from SpaceX partner NASA after a video emerged of Musk smoking marijuana and drinking whiskey on Joe Rogan's podcast in 2018. In the US, companies with government contracts must comply with federal regulations on drug-free workplace policies.

“After speaking with Rogan, at NASA’s request, I have agreed to submit to random drug testing over the next three years. There were no traces of any drugs or alcohol,” Musk posted on X.

Musk's attorney, Alex Spiro, told the WSJ that his client “is routinely and randomly tested for drugs at SpaceX, and has never tested positive.”

Concerns about the billionaire’s drug habit peaked in 2017 when Musk spoke at a SpaceX meeting discussing the company’s new rocket. The Independent reported at the time that Musk “limbered and rambled on for about 15 minutes” and the company’s chairman had to take over the meeting.

Board members of Tesla, a public company run by Musk, have also expressed concern about their leader’s behavior. The WSJ reported that Tesla board chairwoman Robyn Denholm had to reach out to Musk’s brother, Kimbal, to “help the CEO stay drug-free.”
