According to the Vietnam Blockchain Association, on February 3rd, the indictment was announced in the Federal Court in Brooklyn (USA). The indictment accuses Andean Medjedovic (22 years old, Canadian citizen) of online fraud, computer hacking, and attempted extortion after stealing approximately $65 million worth of cryptocurrency.
Currently, the defendant remains at large. The case is being handled by specialized units dealing with financial crimes and cybersecurity, as well as other international organizations.

Mr. Phan Duc Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, believes that the incident also serves as a lesson for technology companies to continuously improve and ensure the safety of the decentralized finance ecosystem. This is also an example of the adaptability and perseverance of Vietnamese technology startups in the international market.
"On this occasion, I would like to call for solidarity within the Vietnamese blockchain community, urging them to connect and share more with each other in order to promote a healthy blockchain technology community linked to applications that can benefit Vietnam in the new context," Mr. Trung emphasized.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain Association pledged that the association, along with programs tracking fraudulent activities on the web3 space such as Chaintracer, Verichain, the Anti-Fraud Social Limited Company, and community media channels, will always accompany and support businesses, especially startups, in ensuring transparent, safe, and effective operations.
The head of Kyber also stated that immediately after the incident occurred, Kyber Network made efforts to resolve the issue. To date, Kyber has fully compensated users for their legitimate losses.
Kyber Network is one of the world's pioneering blockchain projects, entirely developed by Vietnamese people, and was founded in 2017.
