VinFast electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their incredibly affordable prices.

With loans covering 80-85% of the vehicle's value and free charging for over two years, VinFast is realizing the dream of car ownership for millions of people across the country. In particular, the zero fuel cost is a key factor in eliminating the concern of "how to maintain a car" for many users.

Having long considered and researched electric cars, Mr. Le Bao Long ( Nghe An ) never imagined they would become so popular so quickly in a mountainous region like his hometown.

“ In the last few months, VinFast electric cars have been everywhere on the roads. Charging stations have also appeared right in the town center and along the main roads. If it weren't for VinFast, I don't know when I would have dared to buy a car ,” said Long, who just ordered a VinFast VF 3.

Priced at just 299 million VND, VinFast's minicar is easily accessible even to middle-income families. Taking advantage of the attractive installment plan currently available, Mr. Long decided to borrow the maximum amount – 85% of the car's value. This means he only needs to pay a 15% down payment.

“ It only costs about 45 million VND to get a new car for the whole family to use, and with the registration fee waived for electric cars, the total on-the-road cost is equivalent to the listed price ,” Mr. Long said, adding that VinFast’s favorable loan policy was a major motivation for him to fulfill his dream of owning a car.

According to his research, other models such as the VF 5, VF 6, etc., are also benefiting from installment loan policies covering up to 80% of the vehicle's value – one of the best support levels on the market.

Nguyen Hoang Hai ( Quang Ninh ), who runs a car personalization service business, said that the demand from electric vehicle owners is increasing rapidly, with the number of customers growing steadily.

“ VinFast electric cars are easy to buy, easy to use, and are becoming very popular quickly. On average, out of 10 customers who come to my store, 4-5 are using VinFast cars ,” Mr. Hai said.

Saving on gas money will leave you with enough to pay the installments.

Not only can customers buy VinFast electric cars at good prices and with reasonable policies, but they are also receiving free battery charging at V-Green charging stations nationwide until the end of June 2027 - meaning for more than two years, users will not spend a single penny on fuel when using their cars.

Observers note that the burden of owning a car has been a barrier for many years due to the exorbitant cost of gasoline. However, the cost savings offered by electric vehicles, especially VinFast's exceptional policies, have encouraged consumers to confidently purchase them.

“ The biggest cost saving is that fuel is now free. Compared to my previous gasoline car, I save about 4-5 million VND per month on fuel, which is just enough to cover the installment payments ,” said Hoang An (Bac Ninh), who decided to sell his B-segment gasoline car and switch to the VF 6.

Since switching to the new car, the biggest expense he's had to pay has been maintenance – which is also much cheaper than gasoline cars because there's no need to change engine oil and fewer wear and tear parts. Specifically, VinFast electric cars only need maintenance every 12,000 km (twice as often as gasoline cars).

“ Both maintenance services cost no more than 500,000 VND each. Replacement parts for VinFast vehicles are readily available and inexpensive ,” Mr. An said.

This is also the opinion of many customers using VinFast electric vehicles and benefiting from the Vietnamese automaker's market-leading after-sales service policy. Currently, VinFast offers a warranty of up to 7 years/160,000 km for the VF 3, VF 5, and VF 6 models - double that of gasoline-powered vehicles in the same segment. The battery is also warranted for up to 8 years with no mileage limit.
