Leading the attack are the striking duo of Nguyen Xuan Son and Nguyen Tien Linh of the Vietnamese national team in the 4-4-2 formation announced by the AFF Cup organizers. The remaining players include Nguyen Quang Hai and Nguyen Hai Long in midfield.

In defense are center-backs Bui Tien Dung and Bui Hoang Viet Anh. In goal is none other than goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu.
Only two Thai players made it into the AFF Cup 2024 All-Star team: defender Nicholas Mickelson and center-back Pansa Hemviboon. The Philippines and Singapore each contributed one player, midfielder Sandro Reyes and Kyoga Nakamura respectively.
This is considered a very reasonable choice, given that the Vietnamese national team had a very convincing run and won the AFF Cup 2024, with a total of 7 wins and only 1 draw. They scored a total of 21 goals and conceded only 6.

Particularly in the semi-finals and finals, the Vietnamese team won both matches against Singapore and Thailand to claim their third regional championship title.

Naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son won the Best Player award and was the top scorer with 7 goals. Meanwhile, striker Tien Linh also contributed 4 goals. Quang Hai scored 2 goals, while Hai Long scored the winning goal in the 90+20th minute of the second leg of the final on January 5th, with a shot from midfield that slowly rolled into the net, leaving the Thai defenders helpless as they desperately tried to block it.
In defense, center-back Bui Tien Dung and goalkeeper Dinh Trieu are solid walls that help the Vietnamese national team become the team with the best defense at the AFF Cup 2024.
