Xuan Thanh - peaceful fishing village

(GLO)- Nestled on the white sand dunes, Xuan Thanh coastal village (Phu My Dong commune, Gia Lai province) appears simple, rustic and strangely charming.

No noise, no hustle and bustle, this is an ideal destination for tourists to get away from the city, return to the fresh nature, listen to the waves lull, the wind sing and feel the simple life of the fishing community.

Xuan Thanh has two beaches - Front Beach and Back Beach - separated by a series of rocky reefs commonly known as Mec reefs. Front Beach is where fishermen have made a living for generations. Early in the morning, groups of boats and baskets return to shore after a night drifting on the waves, carrying with them fresh catches of fish and squid still shining silver in the sunlight. On the shore, people are bustling about buying and selling seafood.

Bai Sau is quieter, with a long beach with fine golden sand and crystal clear water to the bottom, an ideal place for tourists to camp, swim, watch the sunset, or simply take a leisurely walk in the space filled with sea breeze. This is also a favorite beach of the locals, a place that holds many memories of many generations growing up with the sea.

Not swept away by the flow of commercialization, Xuan Thanh still retains the peacefulness of an ancient fishing village. Small, pretty homestays nestled behind rows of casuarinas, rustic seafood meals, the hospitality of the hosts... all create an unforgettable experience for visitors.
