(BGO) – On May 30, in Phuc Hoa commune, the People's Committee of Tan Yen district (Bac Giang) held a conference to promote the consumption of early ripe lychee. Tan Yen early ripening lychee is a famous local product, the area is mainly in Phuc Hoa commune with the largest concentration area in the province with nearly 700 hectares. Due to the attention of the district to direct production, lychee always has outstanding quality, ensuring traceability. With an area of ​​1.340 ha, this year, the district's lychee production is estimated at more than 15,5 thousand tons; Harvest time from May 30 to June 5, 25. 

Tan Yen district attaches great importance to all domestic and export markets for lychee consumption. Currently, many businesses have registered to purchase for export. In particular, thousands of people came to visit and experience the early litchi area.

On behalf of district leaders, Mr. Ngo Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, suggested the ministries, branches, central government, provincial People's Committee to direct, orient, connect with capable and experienced enterprises to expand the product consumption market; supporting the promotion and introduction of litchi fruit and key agricultural products, typical of the district to consumers. 

Enterprises, traders, trade centers, supermarkets, wholesale markets sign cooperation contracts with enterprises, cooperatives, groups of households to produce and consume products, creating a chain of links from production to consumption; create a sustainable link between people growing lychee in particular and agricultural production in general and enterprises investing in the district.

The representative of the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) suggested some solutions to improve the quality of lychee.

At the conference, many delegates highly appreciated the advantages of Tan Yen early ripening lychee. In addition to being harvested early, the product also has a sweet taste, suitable for the needs of consumers around the world. 

According to Mr. Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), this year, the export of lychee to the Chinese market faces many challenges. China requires much higher criteria for Vietnamese litchi. Therefore, Tan Yen district as well as Bac Giang province need to closely direct the production process to meet the requirements of the importing country. At the same time, invest in deep processing, reduce the pressure of fresh lychee consumption.

A representative from the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) informed that at present, lychee in Vietnam, including Bac Giang, has uneven quality, there is a difference between products of the same type and some countries. In order to maintain and stabilize product quality, Bac Giang province needs to closely monitor and manage the planting area code, promptly guide farmers on measures to ensure safety, meet export and domestic consumption standards.

Addressing the direction, Mr. Phan The Tuan emphasized, the conference is an opportunity for Tan Yen to promote and promote the district's consumption of early ripe lychee; create opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises and traders to find partners, cooperate, and sign to sell products. At the same time, it is of great significance, not only leading to favorable consumption of early litchi in Tan Yen but also for main season litchi in the coming time.

He highly appreciated the active and active participation of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Tan Yen district in connecting and consuming lychee. He hoped that not only lychee would be consumed smoothly, but also created a spillover effect, contributing to the successful consumption of other key and typical agricultural products of Tan Yen district such as pork, guava, pomelo, breast milk...
