Many activities to care for workers and laborers
Over the past 11 years, Labor Month has truly become a great festival for workers nationwide in general and Long An province in particular with many specific activities aimed at workers and receiving deep attention from Party committees at all levels, authorities, employers, the response of a large number of union members, workers and positive recognition from the whole society. Trade unions at all levels have promoted the implementation of many activities to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; improve working conditions for workers, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises; affirm the role and position of trade unions in the socio-economic development of the province.
Workers and laborers are commended and rewarded as good workers and laborers.
This year's Labor Month with the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneer Entering the New Era", the Provincial Labor Federation organized many practical activities for Union members and workers. Workers and laborers in difficult circumstances receive gifts from the Provincial Labor Federation
This year's Lunar New Year, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 5,300 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances in the province, each gift worth 1 million VND; and awarded support money to build 5 Trade Union Shelters out of a total of 46 houses disbursed to construction units in the first 4 months of 2025, each worth 70 million VND. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also organized a Thank You Program for Workers at 20 enterprises in the province; at the same time, mobilized enterprises to give gifts to workers to accompany the program.
Ms. Cao Thi Nga - employee of Tan Thanh Loi Company Limited (Thu Thua District), shared: “My family still has many difficulties. My husband has been sick for many years and has not worked. My monthly income covers both my family and my young grandchild. With the attention of the Trade Union at all levels on the occasion of Labor Month, I have been encouraged and my current difficulties have been somewhat shared. I will try to work hard, contributing to improving the quality of the Company's products to maintain my job and have a stable income.”

Workers play a pioneering role
2025 is the first year of implementing the 2024 Trade Union Law; the second year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union; the third year of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Long An Provincial Trade Union. It is also the time when trade unions at all levels in the province, with high determination and great efforts, take action to put the resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels, the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Long An Provincial Trade Union and the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028 into practice in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities.
With that requirement and meaning, in the 2025 Labor Month, the Provincial Labor Federation encourages union members and workers to promote their creative and flexible responsibilities in work, labor, and production. In particular, to promote the pioneering role in entering the new era, unions at all levels focus on organizing creative labor programs, confidently entering the new era; reminding and encouraging workers to actively study, improve their qualifications and skills, change careers, approach modern labor trends, adapt to the context of international integration and the 4th Industrial Revolution , prepare for the new development stage of the country; at the same time, actively respond to emulation movements, especially the emulation movement of Excellent Labor - Creative Labor.
Thanks to the initiatives of workers and laborers, production activities at the enterprise are effective, improving product quality.
From the emulation movement of Good Labor - Creative Labor, many outstanding individuals have emerged, with effective technical innovation initiatives in Labor and production. Mr. Pham Minh Cuong - Employee of Ray Tu Company Limited (Can Giuoc District), had the initiative to change the tools from plastic cups to plastic bottles with lids in the paint cleaning process. When applying this initiative, the tools are durable, reusable many times, save water and do not harm the environment, helping the Company benefit 160 million VND/year.
Deputy Director of VietNamSolar Joint Stock Company Factory (Duc Hue District) - Ho Xuan Su actively participated in the emulation movement of Excellent Labor - Creative Labor launched by the grassroots Trade Union. He had the initiative of Applying weather forecasting software, forecasting capacity for Solar Park 1, 2, 3, 4 solar power plant cluster, was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee, won the Second Prize in the Provincial Technical Innovation Contest 2022-2023 and was awarded a Certificate of Creative Labor by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In 2024, Mr. Su had another initiative to effectively adjust the tilt angle of solar panels , benefiting the Company more than 11 billion VND.
Passionate about creativity, Head of the Experimental Team of Phan Vu Long An Concrete One Member Co., Ltd. (Ben Luc district) - Tran Quoc Quang also has many initiatives that bring practical efficiency to the Company's production activities.
Mr. Quang said: “With the direction and policy of the factory's Board of Directors on optimizing production costs and product quality; at the same time, minimizing construction material waste to the environment, based on the foundation of previous colleagues, I proceeded to replace finely ground slag for cement in concrete by 10-30%. After a long time of collecting statistics, I chose the optimal concrete ingredients in terms of cost and quality to put into mass production. After applying the initiative, the biggest and most effective change was to help the company save on material costs, thereby reducing product prices, indirectly increasing sales, and in the long term bringing a stable source of income and jobs for employees. This initiative benefits the company by more than 400 million VND/year and reduces CO2 emissions causing the greenhouse effect, contributing to environmental protection".
Workers’ Month is not only an occasion to show gratitude and care for workers, but also an opportunity to arouse the spirit of creativity and promote the pioneering role of the working class in the new era. The practical and meaningful actions of workers have been spreading the spirit of positivity, responsibility and innovation in labor and production, thereby affirming the important role of workers in the socio-economic development of the locality and the country in the era of national development./.
