What is USD?

1 USD = 26,121 VND (cash purchase) = 26,151 VND (bank transfer purchase) = 26,391 VND (selling)
According to the USD/VND exchange rate on May 20, 2026 at BIDV :
1 USD = 26,161 VND (cash and check) = 26,161 VND (bank transfer) = 26,319 VND (selling)
Please note that the exchange rate between USD and VND fluctuates daily according to the foreign exchange market. Therefore, to know the exact amount of 1 USD in Vietnamese Dong at the time of the transaction, the person exchanging money needs to contact the bank directly.

Besides banks, some economic organizations are also permitted to act as foreign exchange agents if they are granted a Certificate of Registration as a Foreign Exchange Agent by the State Bank of Vietnam.
When exchanging USD, individuals must provide documents and certificates appropriate to the actual transaction as instructed by authorized credit institutions and foreign exchange dealers to ensure that the foreign currency exchange is for the intended purpose and in accordance with legal regulations.
