Mr. Dinh Van Chac, Director of the Cam Mountain Tourist Area Management Board, said that on the first day of the Lunar New Year, 6,400 tourists visited Cam Mountain by road, and several thousand chose to take the cable car. The total number of visitors to the tourist area on that day was approximately 10,000, similar to the same period last year.

According to Mr. Chac, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015), the mountain landscape was meticulously maintained and more beautiful than in previous years. The management board also tightened control over motorbike taxis soliciting customers, and vehicles were guided to park according to regulations. In addition, security, pickpocketing, and robbery were also controlled thanks to a comprehensive security camera system.

Mr. Hoang Dung, a resident of Dong Thap province , and his family arrived at Cam Mountain early this morning, choosing to take a motorbike taxi up the mountain for a round trip costing 150,000 VND. "Coming to Cam Mountain at the beginning of the year, I found the scenery peaceful. It was a great way to enjoy the spring scenery while also offering incense and praying for good fortune and health," Mr. Dung said.

Located more than 250 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Mount Cam, also known as Thien Cam Son, is the highest peak in the Mekong Delta, reaching over 700 meters. The mountain peak, situated in Tinh Bien district, is a famous spiritual tourism destination in An Giang province, boasting majestic scenery, a cool climate, and lush greenery. Along the trail from the foot to the summit, visitors can find many attractions such as Thanh Long Stream, Tien Stream, Cay Que Cave, and Ong Ho Cave. At the summit are famous landmarks such as Van Linh Pagoda, Phat Lon Pagoda, the Maitreya Buddha statue, and Thuy Liem Lake.

Mount Cấm, along with Mount Tượng (Liên Hoa Sơn), Mount Dài (Ngọa Long Sơn), Mount Dài Năm Giếng or Mount Dài nhỏ (Ngũ Hồ Sơn), Mount Cô Tô (Phụng Hoàng Sơn), Mount Két (Anh Vũ Sơn), and Mount Nước (Thủy Đài Sơn), and more than 30 unnamed mountains, make up the Bảy Núi region, attracting tourists year-round, especially during the New Year's holiday.
