Mr. Dinh Van Chac, Director of the Cam Mountain Tourist Area Management Board, said that on the first day, there were 6,400 visitors visiting Cam Mountain by road and a few thousand visitors choosing to take the cable car. The total number of visitors the tourist area welcomed on the day was about 10,000, equivalent to the same period last year.
According to Mr. Chac, during the Tet At Ty, the landscape on the mountain is meticulously cared for, more beautiful than previous years. The management board also tightens control over the situation of motorbike taxi drivers soliciting customers, vehicles are guided to park properly. In addition, the security situation, pickpocketing, and robbery are also controlled thanks to a closed security camera system.
Mr. Hoang Dung, from Dong Thap , and his family went to Cam Mountain early this morning, choosing to go up the mountain by motorbike taxi with a round trip price of 150,000 VND. "Going up to Cam Mountain at the beginning of the year, I saw a peaceful scene. I enjoyed the spring and burned incense to pray for luck and health," said Mr. Dung.
More than 250 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cam Mountain or Thien Cam Son is the highest peak in the West with more than 700 m. The mountain peak in Tinh Bien district is a famous spiritual tourist destination in An Giang, with majestic mountains, cool climate, and lush green nature. Along the trail from the foot to the top of the mountain, visitors have many places to visit such as Thanh Long stream, Tien stream, Cay Que cave, Ong Ho cave.
