Vietnam U17 team couldn't hold their ground against South Korea.

Vietnam U17 had a commendable first half against a top Asian opponent in the second match of Group C at the AFC U17 Championship, but inexperience and immense pressure in the final minutes prevented coach Cristiano Roland's team from maintaining their advantage.

From the start of the match, the South Korean U17 team pushed forward and constantly applied pressure with crosses, taking advantage of their superior physique. However, the Vietnamese U17 defense played focused and maintained good spacing to neutralize the pressure.

Despite being under pressure, the Vietnam U17 team unexpectedly made the difference in the 31st minute. From a rapid counter-attack, Sy Bach broke through and fired a dangerous diagonal shot to open the scoring for the red-shirted team.

The goal boosted the confidence of the Vietnam U17 team. Coach Cristiano Roland's team maintained a tight defensive system, making it difficult for the South Korea U17 team to get close to goalkeeper Xuan Hoa's goal. The first half ended with a surprising advantage for the Southeast Asian representatives.

After the break, the South Korean U17 team increased the pressure with fast-paced attacks and continuously pressed the Vietnamese U17 team. However, the red-shirted team held firm thanks to the concentration of their defense and the impressive performance of goalkeeper Xuan Hoa.

The turning point came in the 84th minute when An Sun Hyun scored the equalizer from a direct free kick just outside the penalty area.

Just two minutes later, Vietnam U17 conceded another controversial goal. The players in red argued that their opponents were offside, but the referee did not blow the whistle, and Nam Ian capitalized on the opportunity to score, giving South Korea U17 a 2-1 lead.

With their morale dropping, the Vietnam U17 team lost their composure. South Korea U17 took full advantage of the opportunity to score two more goals in the 88th and 90+4th minutes, sealing a 4-1 comeback victory.

This defeat shows that the Vietnam U17 team still has a significant gap to bridge with the top teams in the continent, especially in their ability to maintain composure and focus at crucial moments.
