Previously, on the morning of April 8, after breakfast of rice balls bought at a restaurant, 12 students from grades 2, 3 and 4 of Do Luong Primary School had stomachaches and nausea.
Mr. Hoa also said that the rice ball dish includes: rice, carrots, eggs and seaweed. "This restaurant also sells bread and looks clean. After the incident, we asked the restaurant to temporarily close to determine the cause," Mr. Hoa said.
Ms. Dang Thi Nhuan, Principal of Do Luong Primary School (Do Luong District, Nghe An ), said that after eating rice balls for breakfast, at 9:30 a.m. the same day, the students had stomach aches and nausea.
As soon as the discovery was made, the school notified the parents and took the students to the Do Luong Town Health Station for examination and treatment. The students were given IV fluids and medical monitoring. By the evening of the same day, their health had stabilized and they were allowed to go home.
According to Ms. Nhuan, after the incident, the school requested local authorities to inspect and rectify the activities of sidewalk stalls around the school area. At the same time, the school coordinated with parents to remind students not to buy food outside the school and encouraged parents to prepare breakfast for their children at home to ensure their health.
