In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will continue to maintain 3 stable university admission methods, of which the talent selection method (XTTN) includes 3 aspects.

Area 1.1 directly admits excellent students according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (students who have won national and international prizes).

Area 1.2 is based on international certificates (SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB...).

Area 1.3 is selected based on capacity profile combined with interview (students who won provincial level awards, specialized programs...).

At the end of the XTTN registration period on June 8, the system recorded a total of 5,167 candidates registering, of which category 1.1 had 435 applications, category 1.2 had 1,671 applications and category 1.3 had 3,061 applications. Accordingly, categories 1.1 and 1.2 nearly doubled compared to 2024.

After completing the steps in the XTTN process, the scores of more than 4,700 candidates in categories 1.2 and 1.3 were sent to their registered accounts and emails.

According to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, there will be no more early admission for categories 1.2 and 1.3. However, these candidates will still have XTTN scores (similar to TSA scores or high school graduation exam scores) to apply for admission on the general virtual filtering system of the Ministry of Education and Training to be admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

After completing the steps in the XTTN process, the scores of more than 4,700 candidates in categories 1.2 and 1.3 were sent to their registered accounts and emails.

Among them, the candidate with the highest score was 100/100 points (12 candidates (SAT/A-Level achieved perfect score, IELTS achieved 8.0-8.5 points), the lowest score was 55.03 points, the average score was 76.48 points.

According to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from 2025, the allocation of quotas for each admission method will no longer be implemented. Instead, the benchmark scores (admission scores) between methods will be converted and a general admission will be conducted for each training program based on the same benchmark score.

Candidates with XTTN scores who want to apply to Hanoi University of Science and Technology must register their admission wishes (NV) on the Virtual Filtering System of the Ministry of Education and Training at (https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn) from July 16-28, with an unlimited number of wishes.

This also increases the opportunity for XTTN candidates to apply for admission to more majors at Hanoi University of Science and Technology with the above XTTN scores.
