The products in question are: Dáng Xuân Phục Linh Gold (Lot number: 11 2023, Manufacturing date: 1-11-2023, Expiry date: 1-11-2026), imported and distributed by EU YB Joint Stock Company (located at Group 20, Minh Tan Ward, Yen Bai City), which is responsible for the quality of the goods; manufactured in Hong Kong (China); and Best Slim Collagen (Lot number: 29L367, Expiry date: 1-2027), imported and distributed by Hoa Anh Dao Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. (located at Hamlet 4, Hai Boi Village, Hai Boi Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi), which is responsible for the quality of the goods; originating from the USA.

The National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Testing has tested samples and found that the two products contain Sibutramine, a substance banned for use in medicine and food. Sibutramine suppresses appetite and has many dangerous side effects on the cardiovascular system, causing heart attacks, arrhythmias, high blood pressure, and strokes.

Regarding the case of counterfeit food production at Famimoto Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Dong Doi area, Thuy Van commune, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province), the Food Safety Department has sent a letter requesting the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Health and the Phu Tho Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department to review the self-declaration documents for the company's MSG products; and to coordinate with competent local authorities to recall all counterfeit MSG products of the company that are still on the market.
