Products, including: product Dang Xuan Phuc Linh Gold (Lot number: 11 2023, Manufacturing date 1-11-2023, Expiry date 1-11-2026) imported, distributed by EU YB Joint Stock Company (at Group 20, Minh Tan Ward, Yen Bai City), responsible for the quality of the goods; manufactured in Hong Kong (China) and product Best Slim Collagen (Lot number 29L367, Expiry date 1-2027) imported, distributed and responsible for the quality of the goods by Hoa Anh Dao Medical Equipment Company Limited (at Hamlet 4, Hai Boi Village, Hai Boi Commune, Dong Anh, Hanoi); originating in the US.
The National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene has tested the monitoring samples and discovered that the two products contained Sibutramine, a substance banned from use in medicine and food. Sibutramine suppresses appetite and has many dangerous side effects on the cardiovascular system, causing heart attacks, arrhythmias, high blood pressure and strokes.
Regarding the fake food production case at Famimoto Vietnam Co., Ltd. (in Dong Doi area, Thuy Van commune, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province), the Food Safety Department has sent an official dispatch requesting the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Health and the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to review the self-declaration file of MSG products of this enterprise; coordinate with local competent authorities to recall all fake MSG products of the company still on the market.
