In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hien, reported to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, reviewing the outstanding achievements of the capital's education sector in the 2015-2026 school year.

The 2025-2026 academic year is of particular importance as it marks the first year of implementing many major policies of the Party and the city regarding educational development in the new phase. In this context, Hanoi's education sector has strived for comprehensive innovation and development, achieving many outstanding results.
The city currently has 2,954 schools with approximately 2.3 million students and nearly 140,000 teachers and staff. The school network continues to expand, and facilities are being invested in towards standardization and modernization, gradually meeting the increasingly high learning needs of the people.
The Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training emphasized that Hanoi has identified the development of pioneering, modern, and integrated educational models that retain their unique identity as a breakthrough solution in the process of educational reform.
Digital transformation continues to yield positive results, with 97% of schools implementing digital student records, over 98% of students managed using digital data, and 100% of schools using electronic records. The application of information technology has become a regular activity, contributing to improved management efficiency and innovative teaching methods.

Notably, in the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hanoi achieved a graduation rate of 99.91%, ranking second nationwide and the highest result in over 30 years. The city also led the country with 1,583 perfect scores (10 points).
Hanoi's leading-edge education system continues to assert its position as students from Hanoi win 15 international awards and 207 national awards; 14 students have been selected to participate in international Olympic and scientific research teams.
The Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hien, urged outstanding students of the capital city to continue nurturing their aspirations, constantly learning and training, living with ideals and responsibility, daring to think, daring to act, and daring to contribute. In the context of rapid scientific and technological development and deep international integration, students need to equip themselves not only with knowledge but also with courage, character, and a spirit of service to the nation.
The Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hien, also affirmed that, in the new development phase of the country, the capital's education system clearly defines its pioneering mission in training high-quality human resources, nurturing talents, and contributing to building a cultured, civilized, and modern capital city.

Ha Manh Hung, a 12th-grade student in the Math 1 class at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, who won first prize in the national excellent student selection exam and is a member of the 2026 International Mathematical Olympiad team, expressed his emotion and pride in representing Hanoi students to report his achievement to President Ho Chi Minh.
According to Ha Manh Hung, the achievements attained today are not only the result of individual efforts but also the attention of leaders at all levels, the dedication of teachers, and the support of families. Students in Hanoi pledge to continue studying, cultivating moral character, honing their skills, and nurturing the aspiration to contribute, so as to become intelligent, ethical, and responsible citizens of society and the country.
