On January 1, 2025, the Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism , Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, stated that since the 2025 New Year's Day holiday will only be one day long in the middle of the week, tourists tend to choose self-guided day trips or participate in short-term tours (2 days 1 night) to nearby destinations instead of traveling far.

Furthermore, with the Lunar New Year holiday lasting less than a month before the 2025 New Year, the number of tourists visiting Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa during this year's New Year holiday will only increase compared to the days leading up to the holiday.

To ensure the best possible service provision for tourists during the 2025 New Year holiday, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry has prepared all necessary resources.

According to preliminary statistics, the total number of visitors to Khanh Hoa during the 2025 New Year holiday is expected to reach approximately 25,000, with an average room occupancy rate of around 60% from December 31, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

Specifically, as of December 31, 2024, some hotels in the city center had occupancy rates above 70%, some hotels near 2/4 Square had occupancy rates of 80-90%, and 4-5 star resorts in coastal areas had occupancy rates above 80%.

According to information from Cam Ranh International Airport, it is projected that in January 2025, the airport will receive an average of 38 flights per day, an increase of 4 flights per day compared to December 2024.

"In order to rectify tourism business activities in Khanh Hoa province during the 2025 New Year holiday, the Department of Tourism has issued a document to tourism businesses in the province to strengthen measures to ensure service for tourists during Christmas and New Year 2025."

Accordingly, security and safety during the 2025 New Year's Day holiday are ensured, with tourism businesses strictly complying with regulations on fire prevention and control, security and order, and food safety and hygiene.

"The Tourist Support Center hotline 0947.528.000 and *2258 (24/7) have not received any complex complaints; the main needs of tourists are asking for tourist information in Nha Trang, tourist maps, and directions," Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh informed.

Many events attract tourists.

For the 2025 New Year's Eve celebration, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa will mark its occasion with a New Year's Eve program at 2/4 Square, themed "Surreal Multi-Connected Gala Dinner," taking place from 8:30 PM on December 31, 2024 to 12:30 AM on January 1, 2025, featuring many famous artists and a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display.

This event attracted tens of thousands of locals and tourists who arrived very early at 2/4 Square to meet their music idols and await the countdown to welcome the new year 2025.
