3 most outstanding OCOP products of Hoa Binh province

Linh Duoc Son's black ginseng tea, Pa Co's Shan Tuyet tea, and the range of products including milk thistle extract and black ginseng extract are the three most representative OCOP products of Hoa Binh province.

Implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, Hoa Binh province now has 158 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher, 32 OCOP products rated 4 stars, and 124 OCOP products rated 3 stars.

Hoa Binh province's OCOP products mainly focus on the province's unique and strong product groups, trusted by domestic and international customers, such as Cao Phong oranges, Tan Lac red pomelos, processed products from bamboo shoots, Bat Do bamboo shoots, etc. Along with these are products in the medicinal herb group such as turmeric starch, honey peach lemon tea, and ethnic brocade fabrics.

According to the OCOP Program plan of Hoa Binh province for the period 2021-2030, regarding product development, Hoa Binh province aims to standardize an additional 160 products, striving to reach a total of 210 standardized products by 2030; develop at least 100 new economic organizations, and upgrade 40-50 organizations already participating in the OCOP Program.

In 2024, Hoa Binh province aims to develop 16 OCOP products achieving 3 stars or higher, and continue to develop OCOP product showrooms and sales points throughout the province. In particular, it will promote and encourage women, youth, and young intellectuals to actively research and develop new, unique OCOP products linked to the local area; and implement several models for preserving and promoting the role of traditional craft villages in conjunction with OCOP product development.

Recently, at the Northern Region Rural Industrial Products Exhibition - Hanoi 2024, and the awarding of certificates for outstanding rural industrial products at the regional level to 126 products and product sets, Hoa Binh province had 3 products/product sets that received the certificate: Linh Duoc Son black ginseng tea of ​​ELIPHA Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Tan Thinh ward, Hoa Binh city); Pa Co Shan Tuyet tea of ​​Phuong Huyen Co., Ltd. (Tan Thinh ward, Hoa Binh city); and the Tuyet Nhi black ginseng and thorny vine extract product set of Tuyet Nhi Cooperative (Dong Bon village, Cao Duong commune, Luong Son district).

The aforementioned products are all typical OCOP products of Hoa Binh province that have achieved 4-star certification and received the certification as typical rural industrial products of Hoa Binh province in 2023.
