According to information from the University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi , the country needs to add more than 100,000 personnel in the semiconductor field annually. Of these, the industry needs 10,000 engineers, but the trained workforce only meets less than 20% of this demand.
However, the workforce in this field in Vietnam is only growing by about 500 engineers per year, lacking in both quantity and quality.
Currently, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and many other universities are expanding their training programs as a number of major chip manufacturers have established a presence in Vietnam, creating vast potential for human resources in this industry.
Tourism Industry
According to statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, with the goal of developing tourism as a key economic sector, the country needs 40,000 skilled workers annually. However, training institutions currently only supply about 15,000 people. Thus, there is a significant shortage of personnel in this industry.
