According to a preliminary report from the Ministry of Education and Training, 99.36% of candidates attended the mathematics exam in the 2025 high school graduation exam. Across the country, 5 candidates were suspended from the exam, an increase of 2 cases compared to 2024, but half the number compared to this morning's literature exam.
Specifically, in the Literature exam, 10 candidates were disqualified, with 8 of them disqualified for using mobile phones and 2 for using unauthorized materials.
Teachers have assessed this year's math exam as having a stronger emphasis on practical application, connecting knowledge to real life, requiring candidates to have good reading comprehension skills, and clearly demonstrating differentiation, contributing to an accurate assessment of the candidates' true level and abilities.
With this exam paper, it is expected that not many candidates will achieve a perfect score in mathematics this year.
Based on this year's exam results, teachers believe that to prepare for the 2026 high school graduation exam, students born in 2008 (2k8) need to develop a systematic study and review plan early on.
Strengthening their foundational knowledge, while simultaneously developing logical thinking, reading comprehension skills, and problem-solving abilities, will be key to helping them confidently enter the 2026 high school graduation exam.
Tomorrow morning, June 27th, candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program will take their final exam with two elective subjects; candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program will take the combined natural science or social science exam.
The exam time starts at 7:35.
