(Dan Tri Newspaper) - A group of people in Ca Mau went online to find work and were tricked into going to Cambodia for "easy work with high pay".
On December 19th, the head of the Ca Mau Provincial Employment Service Center stated that they had proposed that relevant authorities coordinate to investigate individuals involved in scams promising "easy jobs with high salaries."
These "brokers" have taken advantage of the province's labor support policies to directly advise and send workers abroad without going through state management agencies, especially for seasonal workers.
In addition, job recruitment scams via social media are becoming increasingly complex, and people need to be vigilant.

Previously, six young men in Ca Mau went online to look for work. They connected with a Facebook account that advertised online game development jobs in Cambodia with a salary of over 10 million VND per month.
Afterward, the group went to Ho Chi Minh City and were instructed by someone they met online to illegally enter Cambodia via unofficial border crossings.
However, upon arriving in Cambodia, they were forced to work in casinos, tasked with finding customers for the purpose of scamming them. If they failed to perform well, they would be tortured and beaten.
After being discovered and deported back to Vietnam by Cambodian authorities, the group was taken into custody by authorities in Ca Mau province for further investigation.
