60 drivers will receive the Golden Steering Wheel award in 2024.

Having met three stringent criteria, 60 drivers nationwide have won the Golden Steering Wheel award in 2024.

On the evening of December 26th, the National Traffic Safety Committee held the 12th Golden Steering Wheel Award ceremony.

The Golden Steering Wheel is the only national-level award held annually. The award aims to recognize, commend, and honor transportation businesses and drivers who have made significant contributions to ensuring traffic order and safety, thereby raising awareness and understanding among the general public, and drivers in particular, regarding compliance with traffic safety laws.

To win the 2024 Golden Steering Wheel award, drivers must meet several criteria, including: No traffic accidents during the year; No serious or fatal traffic accidents (in the three years: 2021, 2022, and 2023); Strictly complying with traffic safety regulations and not being penalized for any administrative violations by law enforcement agencies during the year.

Furthermore, drivers who perform noble deeds and actions, possess professional ethics (participating in rescuing victims of traffic accidents, assisting passengers in special circumstances, etc.), have prestige and influence within the driving community, and are exemplary and actively promote compliance with traffic safety regulations among colleagues, relatives, and the community are also valued.

Over the 12 years of its organization, 554 individual drivers, representing hundreds of thousands of commercial transport drivers nationwide, have received awards, and 230 units, representing tens of thousands of transport businesses nationwide, have received collective awards.

In 2024, the Organizing Committee received applications from 43 transportation businesses and 119 drivers nationwide. The judging panel unanimously selected 30 collectives and 60 individuals to receive the Golden Steering Wheel award; and awarded the Traffic Culture award to 15 collectives and individuals.
