The 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3rd this year marks the beginning of a series of significant events for the country in 2025. This event signifies a milestone in the arduous yet glorious revolutionary journey of the entire nation over nearly a century.

The Communist Party of Vietnam, founded by President Ho Chi Minh , has, over the past 95 years, successfully and almost completely fulfilled the tasks set by the nation's history: overthrowing imperialism and feudalism, achieving national independence, unifying the country, and advancing towards socialism.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Le Quoc Ly, former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam has opened up a bright future for the Vietnamese nation.

The practical experience of the revolution, as well as the achievements the country has attained, have proven one thing: the Party is the decisive factor, ensuring all victories of the revolution.

From its very inception, the Party has enjoyed the trust and support of the people. Therefore, just 15 years after its founding, the Party seized the opportunity and successfully led the August Revolution, shattering the shackles of slavery and transforming the people from a life of misery into masters of their own destiny.

Subsequently, the Party successfully led two great resistance wars, marked by the globally resounding Battle of Dien Bien Phu and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.

In this new era, the reform process initiated and led by the Party has lifted the country out of the socio-economic crisis, the lives of the people have been increasingly improved and continuously enhanced, and all aspects of society are developing day by day, hour by hour.

These concrete achievements have further strengthened the people's trust in the Party and in the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, and a just, democratic, and civilized society."

In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that, after 95 years under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese nation has created miracles in history, going through the era of struggle for national independence and building socialism (1930-1975); and the era of national reunification and reform (1975-2025).

And now, we enter an era of national progress, beginning with the momentous event of the 14th National Congress of the Party. The previous era laid the groundwork for the next, and the next inherits and develops the achievements of the previous era, making national independence and socialism increasingly intertwined and continuously developing. The Party's will blends with the people's aspirations to lead the country into a new era.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the era of national progress is an era of breakthrough and accelerated development under the leadership of the Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam that is strong, prosperous, democratic, just, civilized, thriving, and happy; catching up with, progressing alongside, and standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the world.

The top priority in the new era is to successfully achieve the strategic goals by 2030, for Vietnam to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income; and by 2045 to become a developed socialist country with high income; where all citizens enjoy comprehensive development and a prosperous, free, happy, and civilized life.
