According to Tu Nam Thanh, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Nhon Trach ward: "To realize the goal of becoming an urban area, boldly changing the method of rural administrative management to a modern urban governance mindset is a vital requirement for the ward's apparatus in the coming time."
Transforming to a new level
Nhon Trach Ward was formed by merging Hiep Phuoc town and four communes: Long Tan, Phu Thanh, Phu Hoi, and Phuoc Thien. After the merger, the locality has the stature of a "super ward" with a strategic location in terms of economy and synchronized inter-regional transportation infrastructure. Based on these foundations, Nhon Trach is poised to transform into a leading exemplary ward of Dong Nai city.
The First Congress of the Party Committee of Nhon Trach Commune (now Nhon Trach Ward), for the term 2025-2030, outlined a series of strategic and groundbreaking steps. The focus of the new term is to accelerate socio-economic development and create a modern urban area. The locality is determined to work together with the entire city to achieve double-digit growth and meet the set budget revenue targets.

These days, the people of Nhon Trach ward are very excited to benefit from a modern transportation system and become urban citizens. Many key roads passing through the area, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, 25B, 25C, and 319, have been invested in comprehensively with 8-10 lanes. These are direct connecting routes from Ho Chi Minh City, through the center of the ward, to National Highway 51 and Long Thanh International Airport.
Having voluntarily given up his land for the construction of Road 25B, Mr. Huynh Duc Viet (from Nhon Trach ward) could not hide his joy when the section passing through the ward center officially opened to traffic, helping people expand their businesses more easily. Mr. Viet shared: "In recent years, the roads have been widened, making it easier to connect with Ho Chi Minh City. The bustling trade has led to the strong development of various services."
Mr. Pham Van Thanh, residing in Bien Hoa ward and working at the Coherent factory in Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park, said: "Since the Nhon Trach bridge, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, and Road 25B were completed, I choose to commute via Ring Road 3 instead of National Highway 51 to save time." Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Pham Truc Nhu (HR officer at Hwasung Vina Company, Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park) said: "A few years ago, Road 25B connecting to National Highway 51 was frequently congested and dangerous. Since the road was expanded to 10 lanes, the commute for workers has become much more convenient and safer."
Following the administrative reorganization, 84% of schools in Nhon Trach ward meet national standards. Specifically, there are 19 schools (from preschool to high school), of which 16 meet national standards. The remaining 3 schools have modern facilities but are lacking in area. The ward Party Committee has directed the concentration of resources to help these schools quickly meet the criteria; at the same time, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and providing high-quality human resources for the new era.
Developing Nhon Trach in depth.
Nhon Trach possesses many unique advantages thanks to its well-defined master plan, which is being rapidly implemented. In Dong Nai City's strategy, the locality is consistently identified as a dynamic growth pole and a crucial transportation hub in the Southern key economic region. This provides a solid foundation for Nhon Trach's in-depth development, affirming its pivotal role in the area.
According to Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Vo Tan Duc, Nhon Trach is one of the leading localities in developing social housing. However, to meet the needs of workers, the ward needs to accelerate the progress of social housing projects even further. Only then will those who love Nhon Trach and come here to settle down and make a living be able to live here permanently.
