Presenting a report summarizing some key opinions and recommendations from voters and the people, the Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, stated that voters and the people are delighted and excited by the very successful 14th National Party Congress - a Congress of the spirit of innovation, opening an era of development with the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam, aiming towards the two strategic goals of 100 years since the founding of the Party and 100 years since the founding of the nation.

Voters and the people are delighted and highly appreciate the success of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, an important political event that took place immediately after the success of the 14th Party Congress. This election had the highest voter turnout ever, held earlier than usual and implementing a two-tiered local government model. It further affirmed the strength of national unity, the leadership role of the Party, the management of the State, social consensus, political awareness, sense of responsibility, and the people's trust in the Party and the State.

Voters and the public are particularly interested in following the First Session of the 16th National Assembly – a session to consolidate the state apparatus in accordance with the Constitution, marking the beginning of a new term for the state apparatus and the highest representative body of the people. Voters and the public hope that the Party, the State, and all levels and sectors of local government will pay attention to and actively lead the implementation of national target programs, especially the new rural development program, sustainable poverty reduction and socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; healthcare, population and development; and modernization and improvement of the quality of education and training.

Voters and the public also expressed their frustration and concern over the evolving nature of high-tech crimes, especially online fraud, with increasingly sophisticated methods used to steal people's money and property, causing social unrest; they were also concerned about the rising prices of some essential goods; the issues of counterfeit and substandard goods, smuggling, commercial fraud; unsafe food; and environmental pollution in some areas that have not been completely resolved…

Presenting the Report on the results of monitoring the resolution and response to voters' petitions submitted to the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Citizen Petitions and Supervision, Le Thi Nga, stated that through meetings with voters by National Assembly deputies, 1,256 petitions were compiled and forwarded to the competent authorities for resolution. To date, 1,238 petitions have been resolved and responded to, reaching 98.6%; of which, the National Assembly and its agencies have responded to 34 out of 34 petitions; the Government and central ministries and agencies have resolved and responded to 1,182 out of 1,200 petitions.

Regarding some limitations and recommendations, according to the Chairman of the Committee on Citizen Petitions and Supervision, some regulations in the ministry's guidance documents are inconsistent with the provisions of the law, causing difficulties for localities in implementation; the handling and response to voters' petitions are still general and do not clearly demonstrate the state management responsibilities of ministries and sectors; the implementation of recommendations of the National Assembly Standing Committee in supervision reports is still slow, affecting the legitimate rights of citizens and socio-economic development.

Besides the aforementioned limitations, monitoring has shown that the rate of requests requiring explanation and information provision remains high (68%), reflecting the fact that citizens do not have full access to legal information. Therefore, it is recommended that the Government direct central and local ministries and agencies to strengthen the dissemination and popularization of laws; and effectively implement the Law on Access to Information.
