ACB raised nearly 13,000 billion VND through bond issuance in the first 7 months of 2024.

Asia Commercial Bank (ACB ) has just announced the results of its third bond issuance in the first tranche of 2024. Accordingly, the bank successfully raised funds from bond issue ACBH2429003 in the domestic market.

The bond issue has a total face value of VND 2,270 billion, issued on June 28, 2024, with a 5-year term, and is expected to mature on June 28, 2029. The deadline for investors to pay is July 10, 2024. The issuance interest rate for this bond is 6.1% per annum.

In 2024, within just two months, June and July, ACB issued a total of four bond tranches with a total value of VND 12,670 billion.

Of these, the two largest bond tranches, ACBL2426001 and ACBL2426002, with a value of 5,000 billion VND each, were issued consecutively on June 4-5, with a 2-year term and expected maturity in 2026. The issuance interest rate for both tranches is 4.5% per annum.

In a recent development, ACB successfully increased its charter capital to nearly VND 44,700 billion through the issuance of shares to pay dividends.

Accordingly, ACB issued over 582.6 million shares to pay dividends at a rate of 15% (meaning shareholders holding 100 current shares will receive 15 new shares).

Prior to the issuance, ACB's total outstanding shares were nearly 3.9 billion shares, corresponding to a charter capital of VND 38,804.5 billion. After the issuance ended on June 3, 2024, the total number of ACB shares increased to nearly 4.47 billion shares, corresponding to a charter capital of VND 44,667 billion.

On June 13th, ACB also paid a cash dividend at a rate of 10% (shareholders owning one share received 1,000 VND). With over 3.8 billion shares outstanding, the amount ACB is expected to spend on dividends is 3,884 billion VND.

On the same day, the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank (BIDV) also announced the issuance of bond issue BIDLH2432019 with a total value of VND 1,000 billion, a term of 8 years, and an expected maturity date of July 5, 2032. The bond issue has an annual interest rate of 5.88%.

Previously, the bank also successfully raised 100 billion VND through bonds coded BIDL243108. Similar to the above bond issue, BIDL243108 has a term of 8 years, expected to mature in 2032 with an issuance interest rate of 5.88% per annum.
