Who will be drinking with the Nvidia CEO in South Korea?

Nearly a year after his widely publicized fried chicken and beer party, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is preparing to return to South Korea to meet with a host of top tech leaders.

According to industry sources on June 1st, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is expected to arrive in South Korea on the evening of June 4th after completing his schedule at GTC Taipei 2026, Nvidia's annual artificial intelligence (AI) conference held in Taiwan.

Starting on June 5th, he is expected to participate in a series of meetings with leaders of major South Korean corporations, according to Korea JoongAng Daily .

The figures rumored to be attending include SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver founder and chairman Lee Hae-jin. Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Chung Euisun is also said to be arranging his schedule to attend.

However, Samsung Electronics' executive chairman Lee Jae-yong is likely to be absent due to a business trip abroad.

A popular restaurant specializing in grilled pork belly in Seongsu-dong, eastern Seoul, is considered a likely location for the meeting. According to leaked information, the restaurant was fully booked on the evening of June 4th.

If the meeting takes place, the planned menu will include Korean grilled samgyeopsal (a type of Korean grilled dish) along with somaek – a mixed drink made from soju and beer.

Observers believe this could be a follow-up to last year's chimaek (fried chicken and beer) party at a chicken restaurant in southern Seoul, where Huang previously sat with leaders from Samsung and Hyundai Motor.

Behind the cordial atmosphere, the discussions are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in the fields of AI chips, robotics, and physical AI.

In addition, Mr. Huang is expected to foster deeper cooperation with Naver, South Korea's leading search platform. Sources indicate that Nvidia and Naver are coordinating to arrange a visit to Naver's second headquarters in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, on June 8th.

The Naver 1784 building, the company's next-generation technology headquarters, integrates technologies such as robotics, cloud computing, digital twin, and its own 5G network infrastructure.

Industry experts believe this visit could help accelerate collaboration between Nvidia and Naver in the fields of AI and physical AI.

Mr. Huang is also expected to meet with South Korean business leaders at the Shilla Seoul Hotel in the heart of Seoul. To conclude his busy schedule, he is also rumored to possibly throw the ceremonial ceremonial first pitch at a Doosan Bears home game at Jamsil Stadium.

Before departing for South Korea on June 1st, Mr. Huang will deliver the opening speech at GTC Taipei 2026, followed by an evening event called "Korean Partner Night," which brings together leaders from many major technology companies from South Korea.
