Over the past 15 years, the TCM group of Duc Hoa district, Long An province has made unforgettable impressions in local events, big and small. By 2024, the group took the name The Sun Dance Group. From heroic melodies to sweet lyrics about history and the country, the group of more than 40 people has continuously spread the passion for revolutionary music , arousing the spirit of national pride .

Currently, the group members are aged 15-35, including students and teachers working in the district. The group brings together many young people with artistic talents, discovered and nurtured through local art competitions and talent searches.

The group mainly operates according to the requirements of each program and event. The highlight of The Sun Dance Group is specializing in performing revolutionary songs, songs praising the homeland and country. Not only maintaining the traditional spirit, the group also strives to innovate with many performances that are harmonized and arranged in a modern and novel way. For large programs, the group also invests in inviting professional teachers to support the staging and choreography. Therefore, each performance ensures meticulousness and thoroughness in both sound and image.

With enthusiasm and seriousness, the performance of The Sun Dance Group contributed to the success of many important events in Duc Hoa district. For example, the meeting program on March 26, serving the New Year's Eve entertainment, the 2025 Spring Festival program, the New Rural Recognition Ceremony of My Hanh Nam commune,...

In particular, the Dance Troupe also participated in supporting the district's performance at the 2024 Provincial Young Propaganda Contest in the Provincial Armed Forces with the theme "Youth following in the footsteps of heroic traditions". Not only contributing to the overall success of the district, The Sun Dance Troupe also achieved high achievements such as First Prize and Third Prize at the Provincial Revolutionary Song Propaganda Contest in 2023 and 2024.

Sharing about the group's development orientation, an official of the Duc Hoa District Culture, Information and Broadcasting Center, Head of The Sun Dance Group - Nguyen Thi Truc Linh said: "The group is gradually building and developing communication channels on social networks, especially fanpages to spread revolutionary songs more widely. Our biggest goal is not only to bring quality artistic performances but also to contributeto educating traditions, arousing national pride for the members themselves and the audience."

According to Ms. Linh, the activities of TCM groups such as The Sun Dance Group create a healthy and useful playground for young people to show their talents, exchange and learn, and develop comprehensively. Performing heroic songs also helps them understand more about history and the great sacrifices of their ancestors, thereby fostering patriotism and national pride.

Spread the love of revolutionary music

Recognizing the potential and passion for art of the school's art troupe, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tan Hung High School, Tan Hung District - Nguyen Viet Tan developed the troupe into the TCM group. Since the 2016-2017 school year, the group has not only contributed to the success of school events but also become a bright spot in the local school art movement.

Each school year, the TCM group has 40-45 members, including the singing and dancing teams. The members are all outstanding in talent and enthusiasm, selected from school-level art competitions. The passion for music unites generations of students at the school, and many students still enthusiastically return to support the group in important events after graduation.

The activities of the TCM group of Tan Hung High School are vibrant and diverse. Not only performing at school events, the group also participates in major programs of the district such as the military camp, the Party celebration meeting, the 30th anniversary of the district's founding, the Vietnam - Cambodia foreign exchange, etc.

Every time they appear on stage, they bring elaborately choreographed performances, expressing their deep love for their homeland and country. The heroic melodies and meaningful lyrics not only recreate a historical period but also arouse in the listeners pride in the nation's indomitable fighting tradition.

To increase the influence and reach out to young people, Mr. Tan also actively posted the group's activities on the Fanpage of Tan Hung High School Youth Union - Long An Province. Since then, the group has received positive responses and feedback from students and parents, arousing interest and love for songs with deep historical and cultural values.

As someone who closely follows the group's activities, Mr. Tan cannot forget the memories of practicing with students for the 2023 Long An Province Student Talent Search Contest.

Mr. Tan said: “We competed in the final round with the dance performance Ky Uc Con Dao. This is a new song, full of tragedy, so it required the whole team to make every effort. With a spirit of solidarity and high determination, after only 2 weeks of practice, the students completed the performance excellently, conquering the audience and the judges to proudly bring home the championship.”

In the journey of spreading love for the country of the TCM group of Tan Hung High School, the locality and the school created the best conditions in terms of funding and transportation so that the students could participate in the performance.

With continuous efforts, the group has achieved many encouraging achievements: Many First, Second, and A prizes for the whole group at the District-level Revolutionary Songs Propaganda Festival from 2022 to present; Third and Encouragement prizes at the Provincial Youth Melody Contest; Champion at the Long An Province Student Talent Search Contest in 2023./.
