"I always respect everyone but will not forgive those who insult my mother," Amad posted a strong message on his personal page after a photo of him raising his middle finger towards fans in Malaysia went viral on social media.

"Obviously I shouldn't have reacted like that. But I don't regret what I did. My teammates and I had a great time in Malaysia, with lovely fans," the Ivorian added.

In the match against ASEAN All Stars, Amad was brought on in the second half by coach Ruben Amorim. He did not score or make any notable assists. The midfielder was closely marked by his ASEAN All-Stars colleagues and could not make any breakthroughs.

Speaking after the match, coach Amorim had to apologize to the fans for the poor performance: "I always feel sorry for what the team has shown since I arrived here. The boos from the audience may be what we needed, because every defeat in the Premier League is the same."

After the match against ASEAN All-Stars, MU will have another friendly match in Hong Kong (China) on May 30 before ending the tour. The next summer transfer window promises to be full of turmoil with many players leaving due to poor performance.
