In Thong Nhat village, Mr. Y Nen Kđoh’s family of 6 used to live in an old, dilapidated stilt house. His grandparents were farmers, working hard to make a living to raise their children and grandchildren to adulthood. Therefore, the degraded roof created a mental burden, making them unable to confidently invest their efforts in economic development.

Amidst many difficulties, poverty reduction efforts have produced remarkable results. In 2025, the poverty rate in the commune will be 26.10%, down 6% compared to 2024. This success comes from the housing program and many other comprehensive, multidimensional poverty reduction strategies.
Along with being supported with housing, people are also supported to develop their livelihoods and consciously strive to escape poverty. Households have actively applied good technical measures in farming, bringing high-yield, high-quality varieties into production, thereby increasing productivity, output and prices, contributing to increasing income.
