(To Quoc) - On the morning of September 16th in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture , Sports and Tourism (MOCST) held a press conference to introduce the program promoting Vietnamese tourism and cinema in the United States, "Vietnam - A New Destination for World Cinema".

The program aims to introduce and promote tourist destinations and potential filming locations in Vietnam, attracting Hollywood studios to shoot highly anticipated films with the potential to generate international media attention, thereby boosting tourism and attracting visitors to Vietnam. Simultaneously, it seeks to promote tourism through film, effectively leveraging film-based tourism, and creating a breakthrough in tourism promotion and marketing.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong chaired the press conference. Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh and Editor-in-Chief of Van Hoa Newspaper Nguyen Anh Vu co-chaired the event. Also attending the press conference were Mr. Marc E. In his opening remarks at the press conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong stated: “With a deep understanding of the power of cinema in promoting tourism, we have developed this program and hope to bring the image of Vietnam closer to international audiences, especially audiences in the United States – one of the largest and most diverse cultural markets. The Vietnam Tourism and Cinema Promotion Program in the United States, titled “Vietnam – A New Destination for World Cinema,” aims to introduce Vietnam not only as an ideal destination for tourists but also as an attractive destination for filmmakers, film directors, and leading actors worldwide.”

This confirms that Vietnam has locations that can become famous film sets, both in terms of natural landscapes and diverse cultural identity. We believe that, through films shot in Vietnam, international audiences will not only have the opportunity to experience the beauty of Vietnam's nature, culture, and people in the most vivid and intimate way, but also boost tourism and encourage visitors to come and explore the country.”
