Located on the coast of Binh Thuan province, the Ke Ga lighthouse stands majestically on a small island about 500m from the shore, and is known as one of the oldest lighthouses in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

The building was designed and constructed by a French architect starting in 1897 using large blocks of granite.

For over a century, amidst the vicissitudes of history and the harshness of the ocean winds, this 35-meter-high tower has tirelessly guided and directed ships through its course.

On normal days, to reach the lighthouse, visitors must travel by canoe or hire a small fishing boat from local fishermen to cross the sea to the island. However, during low tide (about twice a year), the ocean seems to part, revealing a smooth white sandy path connecting the mainland to the nearby island.

This receding tide is a fascinating natural phenomenon. Not everyone who comes to Ke Ga has the chance to admire and walk on this unique, ever-changing path.

Lines of people eagerly walked along the vast ocean, with gentle waves lapping against the wet sand on either side.

The feeling of walking barefoot on the damp sand, surrounded by the vast sea breeze, brings a strange sense of freedom and awe at the grandeur of nature.

The unique octagonal architecture soars high, casting a solid shadow against the deep blue sky, creating a steadfast symbol at the forefront of the waves.

Surrounding the ancient tower are strangely shaped rock formations, arranged by nature in a spontaneous manner to create a sturdy shield against the waves of the open sea.

Adding to that rustic charm are rows of shady frangipani trees, emitting a gentle fragrance, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for travelers to stop by.
