Nguyen Thi Anh Vien announced the completion of her studies at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Physical Education. The former national swimming team member shared this achievement on social media.
" So, Vien's four-year journey at the University of Physical Education and Sports has come to an end. Thank you to my family, teachers, and friends who have always been there to care for, teach, encourage, and support me throughout this time ," the female swimmer born in 1996 shared.
Ánh Viên is a student in the Swimming class, Faculty of Sports Training, Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports. During her time there, the "little mermaid" won first prize at the National Student Scientific Research Conference on Physical Education and Sports in May 2023. Ánh Viên's research topic was "Research on some measures to enhance interest in swimming training for children aged 8-10 at the Ánh Viên Swimming Club, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City".

Currently, Anh Vien no longer competes for the national team. After many years of dedication, the girl from Can Tho won 25 SEA Games gold medals, 2 ASIAD bronze medals, 1 Youth Olympic gold medal, etc. She is also the Vietnamese athlete who received the most investment in history, with approximately 30 billion VND in funding between 2011 and 2019.
After the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 2021, Anh Vien withdrew from the national team, wishing to focus on her studies and personal life. In 2022, Anh Vien still participated in the 9th National Sports Games in Hanoi. Her competition management unit was the National Defense Sports Center 4.
Besides competing, Anh Vien opened a swimming center for children in Ho Chi Minh City. Returning to normal life, Anh Vien became more open on social media. She frequently posts photos and videos on Facebook and TikTok to share about her life and her swimming training skills.
On a recent television program, Ánh Viên revealed that she has a boyfriend.
