The Brazilian striker endured a frustrating time at Old Trafford under Ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils decided to let Antony leave on loan earlier this year. He surprised everyone with his decision to join Real Betis.

However, the deal has worked out brilliantly for all parties, with Betis now hoping to loan Antony out for another season and are prepared to pay his full wages.

Antony and his agent are planning to negotiate with MU about his long-term future this month.

Sharing with the media, the 25-year-old striker said : "The best decision I ever made was to come to Betis. I feel happy, because everything went well.

It's too early to say anything about the future. I don't know what will happen but I feel happy to be here."

Antony believes that playing football regularly in a fun, comfortable environment is more important than looking for a big club.

"I knew I had talent but I always prioritized going to a place where I knew I would be happy, even if I had better offers.

Scoring and assisting is extremely important but having fun is even more meaningful."

Antony's form has seen him attract interest from Atletico Madrid, who could be set to pay £35m to sign the Brazilian winger this summer.
