Female valedictorian of Hue University of Economics shares 'formula' for getting high scores

Ho Thi Khanh Minh (a student majoring in finance and banking, University of Economics - Hue University) has become the new valedictorian of the 55th class (2025) with 3.88/4 points.

On the afternoon of October 5, the University of Economics - Hue University held a graduation ceremony and awarded master's and bachelor's degrees in 2025 to 288 new bachelors and 28 masters. Of which, 7 students achieved excellent results, 38 students were ranked as good. The valedictorian of the 2025 output of the University of Economics - Hue University is Ho Thi Khanh Minh (from Hue City, student of Finance and Banking).

Sharing about the valedictorian title, Minh expressed his surprise: "I was a bit surprised and didn't think I would become valedictorian this time. I just thought I was one of the people with high scores, but I didn't think I would be valedictorian."

Khanh Minh added: "I am very proud and happy to have this result after 4 years of trying."

Minh is moved when looking back on the journey of constant efforts to achieve high achievements. Notably, during her studies, Minh participated in a joint training program with a French university. At first, the subjects were all in French, which made her somewhat bewildered. However, thanks to the support from teachers, friends and personal efforts, Minh quickly caught up and conquered the study program.

When asked about the secret to getting high scores, valedictorian Ho Thi Khanh Minh shared a simple but effective "formula": focus on listening to the lecturer in class. Spend time in the evening to summarize the knowledge you have learned. At the end of the semester, review the general knowledge and grasp the knowledge to do the best on the exam.

Minh also believes that the university environment has created conditions for her to change her mindset, become more active through participating in extracurricular activities and expanding relationships.

Minh affirmed that his parents are his biggest source of motivation. "At this time, I want to thank my parents for creating the conditions for me to study in the best environment," Minh emotionally shared.

In the future, the new valedictorian expressed his desire to work in a foreign environment to maximize his abilities and foreign language skills.
