In 2018, Hoang Ngoc Lam graduated as valedictorian of the Artillery Officer School. In his first years of work, Lam was trained in a vibrant practical environment, associated with training grounds and battlefields, completing many important tasks with his comrades and teammates. In 2021, also at this conference, Hoang Ngoc Lam was honored to represent the young officers in the entire army to report to the leader and share his learning, working, training and striving process in the first 3 years of working at the base unit.
After that, according to the assignment, Lam continued to be trained to become a political officer. This was a big turning point for himself: From a purely military officer, Lam moved on to research and directly conduct Party and political work. He always kept in mind that: Good military is very important, but when politics is stable, it is comprehensive; good military, better politics, can fully meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

From his practical work at the grassroots unit, through the positions of platoon leader, now battalion political commissar, Hoang Ngoc Lam shared some experiences. According to him, first of all, every young officer must constantly study, practice, and proactively supplement knowledge in politics, military , law and management skills. Only with solid knowledge can one have the courage and confidence to handle situations well.
In managing troops, it is necessary to be close, closely follow, and grasp the developments in the thoughts, feelings, and aspirations of officers and soldiers. It is not only about administrative management, but also about truly listening and sharing, thereby promptly advising and proposing appropriate solutions to the Party Committee and commanders. It is important to build a relationship of solidarity and unity within the collective, creating a democratic and open environment so that each officer and soldier can work with peace of mind and be attached to the unit.
In addition to training and management, Hoang Ngoc Lam also attaches importance to scientific research tasks. Over the years, he has actively researched topics and technical innovation initiatives applied in training and learning at the unit. In digital transformation, although the unit's physical facilities are still lacking, Lam always determines to be a pioneer, boldly researching and applying technology in management, training and in Party and political activities. The initiatives and solutions have brought about practical results, creating a premise for the unit to continue to innovate, improve training quality, and be ready for combat...
Looking back on the past, Lam shared that: The title of valedictorian is a great honor, but it is only truly meaningful when we turn it into a motivation to strive constantly, to contribute persistently in work. In every environment, Lam reminds himself: Must maintain his courage, constantly learn, dare to take on difficult tasks, accept responsibility, and especially must stick together and accompany his comrades and teammates.
Witnessing the comrades being honored at the conference this morning (September 13), Hoang Ngoc Lam seemed to see himself in previous years and he sent a sincere message: Consider the title of valedictorian not as a destination, but as a new beginning for a long journey of dedication. Nurture within yourself the fire of learning, the desire to rise up, to be ready to accept challenges. And turn the title of valedictorian into a responsibility, a belief, an example for comrades and teammates to follow.
7 years after graduating, 6 years Hoang Ngoc Lam achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, 3 times received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense; Promising Young Face of the Army in 2019, Outstanding Young Face of Military Region 2 in 2020, 2021, 2023... |
