Hai Phong City Border Guard strives to respond to storm No. 9

By the afternoon of September 23, the Hai Phong City Border Guard had coordinated to count and notify 1,604 vehicles/4,481 workers of the location and direction of storm No. 9 (Ragasa) so that they could proactively avoid and move to shelters. Of these, 1,276 vehicles/3,322 workers had anchored at safe harbors.

In addition, 271 rafts and 3 watchtowers at sea were also instructed on storm prevention and control measures by the City Border Guard. In addition, 20 foreign ships and 46 Vietnamese ships anchored in the port waters were also instructed on safety measures.

Faced with the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 9 (Ragasa), immediately after receiving instructions from the Hai Phong City People's Committee and the Border Guard Command, the Hai Phong City Border Guard Command issued a storm prevention and control plan, maintaining 100% of the military on duty ready to perform tasks.

There are still 328 vehicles/1,159 workers operating at sea. The City Border Guard actively coordinates to notify and guide them to move to shore.

At the same time, resolutely prevent fishermen, vehicles, and rafts that have entered shelters from resuming operations during the storm's landing; strengthen information, propaganda, and mobilize people to implement storm prevention and control measures to protect people and property.
