Ninh Chu Ward: Towards building a national tourist destination

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Ninh Chu Ward Party Committee focused on leading and directing the drastic and synchronous implementation of tasks and solutions and achieved many important results in all fields. The economy developed stably, with a total production value of more than 5,400 billion VND, an average growth of 13%/year; shifting in the right direction, of which the proportion of trade - services was 53.3%, industry - construction was 34.2%, agriculture was 12.5%. The poverty rate decreased from 1.96% to 0.9%... In the ward, commercial and service streets, coastal walking streets and night markets were gradually formed. Traditional seafood markets were maintained and developed, becoming attractive destinations for many tourists.

In particular, in the 2020 - 2025 term, the Ninh Chu Ward Party Committee has developed and issued a thematic resolution on improving the quality of urban construction, tourism and trade. In particular, focusing on developing key and breakthrough plans, projects and works in urban construction, tourism, trade and services such as: Dong Van Son - Bac Binh Son urban subdivision planning; Da Chong mountain new urban area; Dam Nai coastal urban area; Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach tourism area... Along with that, the ward called for investment in 2 projects: 5-star international standard luxury resort and Culinary, trade and service quarter, with a total investment of more than 1,567 billion VND; investing in renovating sidewalks and trees on Truong Chinh street; upgrading traffic roads of residential groups with a total cost of 17 billion VND. The locality also develops an urban agricultural production model with the goal of increasing value per unit area associated with environmental protection and clean agricultural production.

Aiming to become a national tourist destination

Mr. Vu Ngoc Duong - Party Secretary, Chairman of Ninh Chu Ward People's Council said: "Based on the results achieved in the previous term; at the same time analyzing and forecasting the situation, the 1st Congress of Ninh Chu Ward Party Delegates, term 2025 - 2030 determined the development goal of building Ninh Chu into a modern, ecological coastal tourism - trade urban area with identity and competitiveness, and a service - tourism center in the south of the province".

To realize the set goals, Ninh Chu ward focuses on mobilizing resources, promoting investment attraction; continuing to propose and recommend competent authorities to speed up the investment progress of works and projects in the area, in which priority is given to 7 key projects, driving forces, clearing and leading to development in the right direction, including: 5-star international high-class commercial, service and resort culinary quarter; Khanh Hai complex tourism, hotel and entertainment area; Khanh Hai Trade - Service Center; Khanh Hai new urban area; New urban area along Dam Nai; New urban area of Nui Da Chong and Dong Van Son - Bac Binh Son urban area.

Along with that, Ninh Chu focuses on implementing well the planning and synchronous development of multi-functional coastal spatial axes (commerce, services, tourism, entertainment); forming coastal urban areas on the basis of approved plans and schemes associated with parks, walking streets, night markets, culinary - folk culture areas; building eco-tourism and resort routes along the coast, along Dam Nai; developing the night economy according to the planning, ensuring security, environment and preserving local cultural identity. The ward also promotes the application of digital technology in planning, land, environment, traffic, security management; developing digital infrastructure, urban data centers, public wifi; deploying smart tourism through digital platforms, cashless payments, digital maps, VR/AR virtual reality technology. At the same time, supporting businesses and people in digital transformation, developing e-commerce, creative startups; Improve the quality of human resources... By 2030, strive to have the proportion of industry, construction and services in the total product value reach 78%; total annual state budget revenue increase by 12%; total social investment capital reach 2,692 billion VND, an average increase of 11%; average income per capita increase by 10%/year...

“The development orientation, goals for sectors, fields and specific targets set are very large, implemented in a context of many new opportunities, but also many difficulties and challenges. With the tradition of solidarity and high determination, the Ninh Chu Ward Party Committee will effectively lead the implementation of tasks and targets of the Party Congress resolutions at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, striving to build Ninh Chu into a coastal tourism - commercial urban area, a national tourist destination" - Comrade Vu Ngoc Duong emphasized.
