On the evening of September 20th, the University of Technology - Da Nang University organized the "Day of Honoring Top Students and Welcoming New Students of the 2025 Cohort - BKSTART" event, with the participation of nearly 4,000 new students and over 1,000 students from previous cohorts. The atmosphere of the event was vibrant with many activities, both formal and youthful, leaving a lasting impression on the new students.

At the ceremony, the school honored the top-scoring student, Dinh Nhu Duy Tue (class 25T-KHDL, Information Technology major, specializing in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence) with 29.75 points; Tue was awarded a scholarship of 40 million VND. In addition, 38 top-scoring students from various majors were also honored and received scholarships of 10 million VND each. Notably, Nguyen Ngoc Minh, a former student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang City), who won a national award in Informatics and was directly admitted to the school, received a scholarship of 50 million VND.

Another highlight of the event was the launch of the dDUT - Digital DUT mobile application, a comprehensive digital solution for learning, research, and management activities, aiming to provide a modern and convenient experience for students, lecturers, and staff, contributing to promoting digital transformation in higher education .

Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, the Rector of the university, emphasized that the University of Technology - Da Nang University is one of the leading technical universities in the country, currently training more than 18,500 undergraduate students, 400 postgraduate students, and over 60 doctoral candidates. The university currently offers 41 undergraduate programs, 18 master's programs, and 16 doctoral programs, including many cutting-edge fields that anticipate future trends such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuit design, high-speed rail, and energy management.
"With the motto of putting the learner at the center, the school is constantly improving the learning and training conditions for students. In the coming time, the school will continue to upgrade lecture halls, laboratories, and dormitories to provide the best learning environment for the students," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu emphasized.
During the program, thousands of students immersed themselves in a vibrant music festival featuring the band Bức Tường and singer Phạm Anh Khoa, creating an explosive atmosphere and ushering in a new academic year filled with excitement.

On the same day, September 20th, the University of Technology - Da Nang University held a graduation ceremony for the second batch of 2025 graduates, awarding diplomas to over 1,500 students and trainees.
In 2025, the University of Technology - Da Nang University was assigned by the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training to lead the Network of Centers for Excellence and Talent in Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology 4.0.

Previously, on September 19th, the Board of Directors of the University of Technology - Da Nang University awarded a special architecture degree to student Do Thi Tra, who passed away in July 2024 due to kidney failure (as reported by Thanh Nien newspaper ). Due to her illness, she was unable to complete the required foreign language proficiency certificate, which is a mandatory condition for graduation. Dr. Huynh Phuong Nam, Vice Rector, representing the university, presented the graduation certificate to Tra's family in Le Thuy commune, Quang Tri province.
