Attending the event were Professor Serge Haroche, winner of the 2012 Nobel Prize in Physics; Professor John Doyle, Harvard University, President of the American Physical Society (APS); Professor Elisabeth Giacobino, President of the French Physics Society; Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Rencontres du Vietnam Association...

At the meeting, Professor Serge Haroche shared that for sustainable development, the school needs to focus on training the young generation, arousing interest in basic science, and at the same time creating conditions for students to participate in research.

"Depending on resources, it is necessary to harmoniously combine basic and applied science training," said Professor Serge Haroche.

Professor John Doyle believes that Quy Nhon University has the qualifications to become a regional scientific research center. According to him, basic science is the foundation for all applied research. Encouraging young students to participate in research will create a new impetus for long-term development.
