According to Techradar , Apple recently unexpectedly approved a computer emulator app to run classic software and games on iOS.
This application, called UTM SE, allows users to run different versions of Windows, Linux, and macOS on iPhones, iPads, and even the Apple Vision Pro virtual reality headset.
Previously, Apple rejected the UTM SE, arguing that the iPhone was not suitable for emulating classic games.
Furthermore, according to technology experts, emulation on mobile phones is legal, but downloading pirated software and games is not. This is also why emulator applications were previously not allowed on the App Store.
Users can now download UTM SE to their iPhones.
Under pressure from regulators and to meet the needs of many users, Apple has had to loosen regulations and allow users more choices.
The UTM SE app is not included with any operating system, and users must download and install it themselves. This helps Apple and the developer avoid legal liability for any use of the app by the user.
UTM SE is also available on AltStore, a third-party app store licensed to operate in the European Union. The app is free and does not have any in-app purchases.
On the App Store, UTM SE is described as a PC emulator that allows users to run classic software and old games.

* Simulation of x86, PPC, and RISC-V architectures
* Run a pre-built machine or create your own configuration from scratch.
