Developers and Apple public beta participants can now download iOS 18.5 RC on compatible iPhones by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
iOS 18.5 RC adds new wallpapers to match this year's Pride Apple Watch Band, along with new warnings for parents when kids may bypass their Screen Time passcode. Apple also adds support for carrier-provided satellite services on iPhone 13 and the ability to use an iPhone to purchase content in the Apple TV app on third-party devices.
The iOS 18.5 RC update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Fix Apple Vision Pro app showing black screen
- Support for carrier-provided satellite features is available on iPhone 13 (all models).
To ensure a smooth upgrade process, users are advised to back up their data before installing iOS 18.5 RC. Although it is a final and stable test version, the RC version may still have minor bugs. If you are not familiar with beta versions, please wait for the official version for the smoothest experience.
