Arsenal could dominate English football for a long time.

The championship trophy was presented to Arsenal at Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park stadium in the final matchday of this season's Premier League. Arsenal fans hope this will be a familiar sight for the 'Gunners' for many years to come.

A CHANCE FOR COACH ARTETA TO BECOME A LEGEND

The last time Arsenal won the title (in 2004), the trophy they were awarded was a special edition that will never be seen again. It was a trophy entirely plated in gold (instead of just the crown), to commemorate Arsenal being the first Premier League champions to go an entire season without losing a single game.

Now, Arsenal are just winning trophies, but this season is even more special than their unbeaten 2003-2004 season. This is the first time in history that Arsenal have won the Premier League and reached the Champions League final at the same time.

Of course, winning the Champions League again would make this the greatest season in Arsenal's history – a glorious history already established from the start of the season (Arsenal is the first team in the world to play in a national league for exactly 100 consecutive seasons). Could this team, on its way to becoming "the greatest in history," usher in a new era in English football? An era where Arsenal is the dominant force?

Even the "unbeaten" Arsenal under legendary manager Arsene Wenger (and Wenger's Arsenal won the Premier League multiple times) never managed to defend their title. More recently, manager Juergen Klopp brought Liverpool a glorious era. But Klopp's Liverpool also never successfully defended their title. Winning the Premier League multiple times in a row is something only three teams have ever achieved: Alex Ferguson's Manchester United, Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, and Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. If Arsenal successfully defend their title next season, manager Mikel Arteta will be in the same league as legends Ferguson, Mourinho, and Guardiola – rare managers who not only won but also successfully defended their Premier League title.

WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN : WHY NOT?

As the saying goes, defending a title is always harder than winning it. Nevertheless, there are many reasons to believe Arsenal can successfully defend their crown. Their age, mental strength, and strong competition are the most important factors that seem to favor Arsenal ahead of next season.

Max Dowman, only 16 years old, is the latest young star Arsenal have introduced this season. He is the youngest player in Champions League history (Dowman was just 15 when he played against Slavia Prague). Dowman also set a double record by scoring against Everton – the youngest goalscorer in Arsenal's history and in the Premier League. Dowman is so young that he's not even allowed in the Arsenal dressing room. He has to change his clothes separately, with a guardian always by his side, in accordance with English child protection laws.

Before Dowman, Arsenal already had Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, both of whom were outstanding at the age of 19. The team's most important players, such as William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Jurrien Timber, Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyokeres… are all in their prime. They are familiar with each other, have good chemistry, and theoretically will perform even better next season.

In the entire Arsenal squad, only four players are 30 or older, including two goalkeepers (Davis Raya, 30, Kepa, 31). The other two are not as crucial (Christian Norgaard, 32, Leandro Trossard, 31).

Looking at the competition, there are no truly formidable rivals at this stage. It's highly likely that Man City's era of success has come to an end. Pep Guardiola has left, and it's difficult to predict the team's future. MU has only just returned to the ranks of Champions League qualification spots. Chelsea and Liverpool have both declined significantly this season. On one hand, Arsenal is currently in a dominant position among the Premier League's "big clubs." On the other hand, Arteta's team has shaken off the mental burden, as they no longer have to play the role of the great runner-up.
