Amidst the cheers and encouragement of the large crowd of locals and tourists present at the central historical site of the Dien Bien Phu stronghold (De Castries bunker), 18 teams from districts, towns, and cities in Dien Bien province enthusiastically transformed themselves into soldiers and militiamen, testing their skills in pushing bicycles loaded with ammunition on March 17th.
This is both a sporting competition and an experiential activity that recreates the glorious history of the heroic Dien Bien Phu land, showcasing the arduous efforts to support and ensure the supply of materials to the battlefield.

The competition featured 10 men's teams and 8 women's teams. Each team consisted of 3 participants competing in a relay race, pushing a bicycle loaded with ammunition and carrying a crate of ammunition. The distance for pushing the bicycle loaded with ammunition was 450m, and the distance for carrying the crate of ammunition was 150m.
Interestingly, the load capacity of the cargo bicycles was up to 100kg and the ammunition boxes weighed nearly 20kg. Teams competed by pushing the cargo bicycles and carrying ammunition in the trenches surrounding the historical site, while also staging realistic scenes to recreate the historical events as accurately as possible.
