On the morning of July 2, at the first session of the People's Council of Vinh Long province, term X (2021 - 2026) after the merger of the three provinces of Vinh Long, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre ; Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee announced the list of 15 members of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021 - 2026; in which, Ms. La Thi Thuy was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training.
Along with announcing the personnel of the Provincial People's Committee, the meeting also passed resolutions to establish specialized agencies, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, and to merge the structures of the three old provinces.
The National Assembly Standing Committee also announced the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized that the initial period after the merger will have many difficulties, but it is also a time to innovate thinking and management methods in a creative and effective direction.
Mr. Dung called on People's Council delegates and officials at all levels to unite and take decisive action to develop the province quickly and sustainably.
Ms. La Thi Thuy (born in 1975) has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education; a Master's degree in Mathematics Teaching Theory and Methodology; and a Master's degree in Political and Administrative Theory. From March 2020 to present, Ms. Thuy has held the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ben Tre province (old).
