Denying information about a 6-year-old child in Dak Lak being kidnapped

The police have investigated and determined that the information posted on social media about a 6-year-old child being kidnapped in Dak Lak is false.

On the morning of August 6, a leader of the Tam Giang Commune Police in Dak Lak Province said that he had verified the social media post about the kidnapping of a 6-year-old child in the area and determined that the information was not true.

Earlier, on the same morning, on the social network Facebook posted information "Urgent need to share to find the kidnapped son of NTK (6 years old) in Dak Lak". According to the posted content, on the afternoon of August 5, the son of the account owner named NTK (6 years old) was kidnapped by 2 strange men while playing in front of the house. The location of the incident was Cu Klong commune, Krong Nang district, Dak Lak province (now Tam Giang commune, Dak Lak province).

Information about a 6-year-old child being kidnapped posted on social media caused public panic.

Attached to the information is a portrait photo of a baby boy and a photo of a masked man holding a baby.

After being posted, the above information attracted the attention of the online community, causing public confusion.

The leader of Tam Giang Commune Police also said that they are verifying and handling the person who posted false information causing public confusion.
