Handing over 270 motorbikes to the Military Commands at the commune level of Gia Lai province

On the morning of August 27, in Gia Lai, the General Department of Logistics and Engineering held a conference to hand over 2-wheeled motorbikes to the commune-level Military Commands under the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command.

Attending the conference were: Major General Ha Nhu Loi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering; Major General Hua Van Tuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; Colonel Nguyen The Vinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command; Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee.

Implementing the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , from July 2025, the General Department of Logistics and Engineering will deploy a plan to purchase and equip more than 6,000 motorbikes for more than 3,000 commune-level Military Commands nationwide (2 motorbikes per unit).

Of which, Military Region 5 is assigned 980 vehicles; Gia Lai Provincial Military Command alone is assigned 270 vehicles. This type of vehicle was selected by the Ministry of National Defense based on technical features suitable for the mountainous terrain, ensuring reliability, durability, ease of use and convenience in technical maintenance work.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Ha Nhu Loi affirmed: The motorcycles handed over are not only material assets, but also demonstrate the attention of the Party and State, the determination of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to build and consolidate local armed forces; contributing to building a strong national defense and people's war posture in the new revolutionary period.

The Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Technology requested units to receive, manage, and use vehicles strictly, in accordance with regulations, effectively, ensuring safety, economy, and traffic safety; and constantly improve the quality and effectiveness of military and defense work in the locality.
