Generator started to help a mother give birth on a stormy night

Due to the impact of storm No. 5, mountainous communes in the West of Nghe An experienced very heavy rain, many places lost power. The Military-Civilian Medical Clinic of Economic-Defense Group 4 (Military Region 4) turned on a field generator to support a mother giving birth during the storm.

At around 10pm on August 26, pregnant woman Mua Y Bay (19 years old, from Lien Son village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province) suddenly went into labor. Prolonged heavy rain caused landslides, so relatives tried to take Ms. Bay to the Military Medical Clinic of Economic - Defense Group 4 at night.

At this time, the storm caused the infirmary to lose power. The doctors and nurses immediately started the field generator to support the team so that the birth could take place safely. At 2:02 a.m. on August 27, the baby girl weighing nearly 3kg cried out at birth. The health of both mother and child is currently stable. In the seemingly uncertain moment in the storm, the soldiers in white shirts became a strong spiritual support for the people.

Representatives of the Military-Civilian Medical Clinic of Economic-Defense Group 4 handed the baby over to the mother's family.
