Opportunity to elevate Quy Nhon brand on the world tourism map

Working with the wards: Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Nam, Quy Nhon Bac, Quy Nhon Tay, Quy Nhon Dong and Nhon Chau commune on the first day of November, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested and emphasized the need to elevate the Quy Nhon tourism brand on the world tourism map.

According to the report, after 4 months of putting into operation the 2-level local government model, the administrative apparatus of wards and communes has been operating stably and effectively. The public administrative service centers have well met the requirements of the people and businesses.

Most of the main socio -economic development indicators such as: growth rate of total product value, budget revenue, disbursement of public investment capital... achieved positive results.

Notably, in Quy Nhon ward, the growth rate of product value in the third quarter of 2025 reached 8.25% over the same period; of which, the industry-construction sector increased by 8.5%, the service sector increased by 11.2%.

In Quy Nhon Bac ward, in the first 9 months of 2025, the product value growth rate reached 8.46% over the same period; budget revenue reached more than 61.3 billion VND, equal to 92.9% of the year's estimate.

Meanwhile, in the first 9 months, Quy Nhon Nam ward's product value growth reached 6.69%; budget revenue was more than 156 billion VND, equal to 92.6% of the year's estimate.

At the working session, leaders of wards and communes made many proposals and recommendations to the province on increasing the dispatch of highly qualified officials to help localities resolve difficulties and problems in financial management, planning and construction.

Notably, it is recommended to decentralize and delegate more power to solve problems related to investment in urban infrastructure, trade, and services; pay attention to upgrading information technology infrastructure, ensuring the settlement of administrative procedures for people and businesses...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized: The wards of Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Nam, Quy Nhon Tay, Quy Nhon Bac, and Quy Nhon Dong are identified by the province as key development driving forces of the province.

With available potential and advantages, the development space of localities in the coming years is very large, especially in the fields of urban development, trade, services, tourism, etc.

Therefore, to accelerate development in the coming period, Pham Anh Tuan suggested that each ward must have a long-term vision, aspiration to rise, and place itself in the overall development of the entire eastern region of the province and of Gia Lai province.

In addition, localities need to strengthen urban beautification and environmental sanitation; deploy solutions to ensure traffic safety and urban order; focus on food safety and hygiene; and improve the quality of tourism service business activities in the area.

Recalling that Quy Nhon has just been voted by the famous travel magazine Lonely Planet (Australia) as one of the top 25 destinations in the world in 2026, the head of Gia Lai provincial government noted that localities must consider this an opportunity to promote and elevate the Quy Nhon tourism brand on the world tourism map.

He also emphasized that localities need to strengthen urban aesthetics and environmental sanitation, especially during tourism events in 2025.
